Natural Fleece Mattress - Limited Edition

A thick and luxurious sheep's fleece mattress made from locally sourced Scottish fleece and limited in availability.

The beautiful fleece on our mattress comes from a small flock of Icelandic type sheep making up Alistair and Sheila's Knowside flock. Raised in the rolling hills of the Scottish borders, each sheep has been gently hand shorn before continuing with their normal activities.

The fleece is washed in collected rainwater using a traditional Suint method and then air dried before being hand felted onto a layer of soft woollen felt.

Current availability includes a natural white and black/dark brown fleece.

Totally sustainable and biodegradable, there are only a small number of these mattress available as the sheep take a year to gently grow a new one.
